Teluk Bahang is a small fishing village located at northwestern part of Penang within 1 and half hours drive from Bayan Lepas airport or nearly 2 hours by bus (depend on the traffic). The cheapest way to get to Teluk Bahang is by public buses where you can get easily in Komtar or Bayan Lepas airport.
In Teluk Bahang you can see for yourself the life of Malaysia fishermen from mending nets or or their preparation before going out for a catch. Even the chalet is located at the side by one of wood jetty. The beach is only about 5 metes from your chalet but separated by an estuary . You can just cross the river to get to the beach or you can walk other way around for proper track(about 150 meters)
Hiking? Beautiful Beach? Tropical Waterfall? Penang National park offer all of that ! The entrance for the National Park is just 400 meters from the chalet. Boat services also available to Monkey Beach or MukaHead lighthouse beach.
